Job summary

Worldline is expanding its global credit risk team and seeking a seasoned professional to lead financial analysis, underwriting, and risk assessment for key accounts and travel & hospitality verticals. You will work across international offices, presenting to risk committees and supporting business development.

The role emphasizes deep financial discipline, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ongoing coaching of colleagues within a FinTech atmosphere.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis with corporate risk assessments.
• Deep understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and accounting principles.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Master's degree in finance/accounting/business economics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth financial analysis (P&L, BS, CF) and underwriting/credit assessments documenting merchant business models.
• Present credit proposals to divisional and group risk committees.
• Conduct annual/periodic credit reviews and adjust risk class, limits and collateral as needed.
• Collaborate with business development and advise on the onboarding process.
• Communicate with merchants at CFO level and review legal documents for compliance.
• Enforce credit risk signing authority according to experience; mentor team members.

The Opportunity

Our global credit risk team is a part of the 1st line risk & compliance and has an end-to-end credit management responsibility for the verticals Key Accounts (e-retail, wholesale, entertainment, event ticketing, gaming, payment facilitators, etc.) and Travel & Hospitality (airlines, cruise lines, hotels chains, online travel agencies). We are tasked with underwriting and reviewing new and existing merchants, monitoring non-delivery exposure and credit quality.

The credit risk department is growing and currently consists of 20 colleagues spread across different offices at international locations. The regular exchange with experts from different countries ensures exciting daily work and challenges at the same time. In Credit Risk we are globally minded with a FinTech atmosphere. Day-to-day responsibilities

• In-depth financial analysis (P&L, BS and CF) and conducting detailed underwriting/credit assessments documenting the merchant business model and sector dynamics, financial performance with the key indicators, credit risks and mitigants;
• Presenting your credit proposal to divisional and group risk committees;
• Carrying out annual/periodic credit reviews of assigned limits and recommending risk class, changes in limit and collateral setup based on the outcome of the analysis;
• Collaborating closely with business development and advising/supporting them on the boarding process;
• Communicating effectively with merchants at CFO or treasurer level;
• Reviewing legal documents and amendments ensuring compliance with policies and procedures;
• Credit risk signing authority (based on your level of expertise/experience);
• Coaching, developing and guiding team members.

• A round 4+ years of experience in financial analysis with corporate risk assessments;
• Substantial knowledge and deep understanding of financial statements, financial & cashflow analysis and accounting principles;
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills;
• Fluency in English;
• Master’s degree in finance/accounting/business economics would be a plus;
• Payment and FinTech industry knowledge would be an asset;
• Strong ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced and changing environment;
• Good sense of responsibility;
• Ability to support, guide and help other team members.
