Job summary

PRP is expanding its Development Consultancy team in Wrocław and seeks an experienced cost consultant to provide cost consultancy, procurement and commercial management on UK residential schemes and fire remediation projects. You will collaborate with UK colleagues, trained in UK standards, with a strong focus on cost control and reporting.

Role requires a degree in civil engineering or related field, 5+ years in cost estimating or QS, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cost estimating or QS experience, ideally in residential/refurbishment.
• Tendering and contract administration experience.
• Fluent English, with strong communication skills.
• Excellent Excel and measurement skills; UK standards interest.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates and cost plans.
• Manage tendering process, procurement routes, and bid evaluation.
• Manage build contracts (JCT suite) and contractor valuations.
• Forecast project budgets and issue payment notices.
• Handle variations, EOT claims, and loss & expense advice.
• Identify financial risks in fire remediation and report monthly costs.

Role Description

We are expanding our Development Consultancy team in Wrocław and are looking for an experienced cost consultant . You will provide comprehensive cost consultancy, procurement and commercial management services on UK new-build residential schemes and building-safety (fire remediation) projects. You will work with UK colleagues and clients, with strong support and training in UK standards.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates and cost plans using RICS NRM standards. Account for specific remediation abnormals, existing building constraints, and elemental cost buildups.
• Manage the full tendering process, including the preparation of tender documentation, selection of procurement routes, evaluation, and assessment of contractor bids.
• Manage build contracts (JCT suite), assess Contractor valuations, issue payment notices, and forecast project budgets.
• Proactively manage contract variations, Extension of Time claims, and advise clients on loss and expense claims.
• Identify and quantify financial risks associated with fire remediation.
• Prepare accurate, client-ready monthly cost reports and budget reconciliations.

Our requirements

• A degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related field
• 5+ years' experience in cost estimating, QS or cost consultancy, ideally in residential or refurbishment
• Experience in tendering and contract administration
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Strong Excel and measurement skills
• Interest in working with UK standards (we will train you in NRM, JCT and UK building safety regulation)

Optional requirements

• Proven experience in UK residential housing and fire remediation projects.
• MRICS, or working toward RICS qualification
• Experience with FIDIC, NEC or JCT contracts
• Previous work on UK or international projects
