Job summary

Mobility Global seeks a cloud-focused engineer to design, build, deploy, and maintain a robust AWS/Kubernetes cloud platform for development teams. You will participate in technology research, collaborate with AWS engineers and support teams, and drive platform quality and automation.

A strong mix of Terraform/CDK/CloudFormation, networking, and scripting across Java, Python, and NodeJS is expected. Responsibilities include evolving our applications, mentoring teams, and ensuring uptime and DR

Qualifications

Experience with AWS product offerings (EC2, VPCs, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront).
Experience with Kubernetes or managed Kubernetes (AWS EKS a plus).
Experience with the AWS Console, CLI and SDK.
Experience with Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation.
Experience migrating software applications to AWS.
Familiarity with networking concepts and load balancing.
Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, NodeJS, Golang or Python.
Proficient in AI-based dev tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
Have a broad set of DevSecOps technology skills.
Knowledge of security and performance best practices for cloud architectures.
Operational experience - uptime and quality of systems.
Experience in building and maintaining DR architectures.
Documentation and teaching mindset - educate others!
Hands-on experience building self-service cloud platforms and architecture.
Advanced experience in troubleshooting techniques.
Be a firm believer in "automate everything".
Experience operating in an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban.

Responsibilities

Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining a robust cloud architecture for development teams.
Participate in design decisions, including new technology research and prototyping.
Collaborate closely with other AWS engineers and architects, cloud engineers, support teams and other stakeholders.
Promote great Kubernetes and AWS platform design and quality.
Innovate new ideas to evolve our applications and processes.
Continuously analyze and evaluate our systems, products and processes for improvements.
Communicate across development teams to understand pain points and improvements.
Educate business stakeholders and product teams on proper use of cloud tools and services.
