We're looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to help build our cloud foundation and enablement capability in a fintech environment. Our technology organization is heavily on‑premise today, and we're establishing GCP as our cloud platform — which means this role shapes how the whole organization adopts it, from the landing zone and guardrails to the reference patterns application teams build on.
This is hands‑on enablement, not abstract architecture: expect roughly 60% of your time designing, building, and validating patterns yourself, and 40% working directly with application teams on adoption, trade‑offs, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on cloud engineer with a strong platform and enablement mindset: someone who can translate cloud capabilities into practical patterns that other teams genuinely adopt, and who works within enterprise constraints — security, governance, networking, cost, operational support — rather than designing around them. They validate their own patterns through implementation, and they guide teams through trade‑offs rather than handing over abstract architecture diagrams.
