Job summary

Grand Parade is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure powering a data-driven platform in Kraków. You will work with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS and streaming data solutions to deliver reliable, scalable services, while advancing automation and IaC practices.

You will collaborate with Data Engineering, Platform and product teams to implement reusable infrastructure patterns and improve deployment capabilities, with a strong focus on observability and cost

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform and cloud infrastructure in a production environment.
• Expertise in CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automation and scripting, ideally using Python and GitLab.
• Experience supporting large-scale data, streaming or event-driven platforms, with a focus on reliability and performance.
• A collaborative approach with the ability to solve complex technical challenges and communicate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure that supports large-scale data platforms and real-time processing workloads.
• Develop and improve Kubernetes, AWS and infrastructure-as-code capabilities to ensure scalable and reliable services.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, enabling engineering teams to deliver efficiently and safely.
• Support observability, monitoring, alerting and incident resolution across production environments.
• Drive platform reliability, performance optimisation and cloud cost efficiency initiatives.
• Contribute to the evolution of streaming and event-driven technologies across the data platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop reusable infrastructure patterns and operational best practices.
• Champion automation, knowledge sharing and modern engineering approaches, including AI-powered development tools.
