Job summary

Ørsted is seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer in Warsaw to design, build and run a centralized AWS platform. You will work closely with product teams and platform colleagues to enable secure, scalable cloud foundations that accelerate delivery while maintaining governance and cost efficiency.

You will implement infrastructure as code, manage multi‑account environments, and contribute to networking, IAM and backup strategies.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience in multi-account environments.
• Experience building and operating cloud platforms, not just workloads.
• Solid knowledge of AWS networking (VPC design, routing, Transit Gateway, hybrid connectivity).
• Experience with AWS Control Tower and governance at scale is a plus.
• Understanding IAM concepts, roles, policies and access patterns.
• Cost optimization and efficient use of AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building and operating AWS platform components using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
• Developing and operating a centralized AWS networking architecture including VPCs, subnets, routing and hybrid connectivity.
• Delivering core platform capabilities such as account management, IAM, backup and logging.
• Automating platform onboarding using CI/CD pipelines and GitHub.
• Supporting cost‑efficient use of AWS services and platform standards.
