Job summary

Ørsted is seeking an experienced engineer to join the AWS Platform Engineering team. You will design, build and operate shared cloud services that support hundreds of accounts, enabling product teams to move faster in a secure and well-governed environment.

You will work hands-on with IaC, networking, IAM and cost optimization, collaborating with engineers, product teams and platform colleagues to scale a central AWS platform across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS expertise in multi-account enterprise environments.
• Experience building and operating cloud platforms, not only workloads.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, routing, Transit Gateway, hybrid connectivity).
• Experience with AWS Control Tower and account governance at scale is a plus.
• Understanding of IAM concepts, including roles and policies.
• Knowledge of cost optimization and efficient use of AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate AWS platform components using IaC.
• Develop and operate centralized AWS networking architecture.
• Deliver core platform capabilities (account management, IAM, backup, migration tools, logging).
• Automate onboarding using GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and operate bespoke AWS Backup solutions and bespoke IAM models.
• Support cost-efficient AWS usage and platform standards.
