Job summary

GlobalLogic Inc. is seeking a Mid-Senior CI/CD Workflow Engineer to join embedded software projects in collaboration with our engineering team in Germany for a world-leading household appliance manufacturer.

You will design, develop, and maintain high-throughput CI/CD pipelines and automation across diverse software environments. The role requires strong Linux, scripting in Python, and experience with Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab CI.

Qualifications

Bachelor Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years of commercial experience, Master Science with 3 years of experience, or PhD with 1 year of experience.
Expertise in DevOps Technologies & Principles (CI/CD).
Experience with Cloud Based CI Systems like Jenkins, Gitlab CI or even GitHub Actions.
Experience with embedded software build systems.
Proficiency in container virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker or LXC).
Skilled in platform-independent scripting languages (e.g., Python) for tool development and testing.
Proficiency in platform-dependent Unix scripting languages (e.g., BASH for Linux).
Advanced git usage for CI and developer tooling support.
Experience with REST APIs and other service integrations.
Good command of English
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently.
Great problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, focusing on workflow optimization and automation.
Develop and maintain Jenkins shared libraries and plugins using Groovy.
Create and maintain automated scripts and tools using Python to enhance CI/CD processes.
Integrate various testing frameworks and code quality tools into the CI/CD pipelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks.
Monitor pipeline health and performance, implementing improvements as needed.
Monitor daily state of CI environment
Provide weekly status reports of CI environment
Collaborate with development teams to integrate their projects into the CI/CD system.
Document CI/CD workflows, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
