Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Kraków is seeking an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join the FX Linear Lifecycle and Risk crew. You will help build and maintain high‑performance, latency‑sensitive trading components in an agile environment.

You will own end‑to‑end features from design to production support, modernize core platforms, and promote best practices in low‑latency design.

The role is hybrid: 3 days per week in the Fabryczna Office Park with a delivery-focused team.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ server-side development on Linux with multi-threading and performance‑critical systems.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain robust backend services independently.
• Experience in complex distributed environments focusing on reliability, scalability, and production stability.
• Java experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize latency-sensitive C++ components for high-performance FX trading systems.
• Own end-to-end delivery of performance-critical features from design to L3 production support.
• Modernize core trading platforms to improve throughput, resilience, and reduce technical risk.
• Provide senior technical leadership and promote best practices in modern C++ and low-latency design.

Project Description:

You will be working in the FX Linear Lifecycle and Risk crew, which is part of a global Investment Bank Technology organization. The team is working using agile principles and is responsible for building and maintaining applications that are essential for FX trading, including supervision and regulatory reporting systems, and possibly others. As an experienced C++ Software Engineer, you will play an important role in delivering business value while shaping the future of our technology stack as well as assuring high quality and reducing technical risk for developed solutions.

We're looking for a passionate Software Developer with proactive mindset who:

• has strong sense of ownership and drives front-to-back assigned deliveries within a supportive team environment
• cooperates with different stakeholders in introduction and facilitation of new automated processes and practices
• is comfortable within a fast moving Agile team delivering in 2-week sprints
• develops new functionality as well as automated test scripts
• delivers innovative solutions in the Investment Bank's FX Derivatives Principal Flow Trading business

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize latency‑sensitive C++ components for high‑performance FX trading systems across the trade lifecycle.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of performance‑critical features, from design and implementation to testing and L3 production support.
• Modernize core trading platforms, improving throughput, resilience, and technical risk while contributing to architectural evolution.
• Provide senior technical leadership, promoting best practices in modern C++, low‑latency design, and performance engineering.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Strong C++ server‑side development expertise on Linux, with solid understanding of multi‑threading, concurrency, and performance‑critical systems.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain robust backend services, applying best coding practices and improving existing or legacy codebases independently.
• Experience working in complex, distributed environments, with a focus on system reliability, scalability, and operational stability in production.
• Experience with Java is a major plus

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Experience with cloud, containerization, or DevOps tooling (e.g. Docker, Azure, CI/CD), especially when applied to C++ or platform services.
• Familiarity with messaging, caching, market‑data, or persistence technologies, such as Redis, Tibco, RMDS/EMA, and SQL databases.
• Background in capital markets or investment banking technology, such as trading, pricing, market data, or risk platforms.
