Salary: 1100-1400 pln/md on B2B
Remote: hybrid from Kraków (1-2 days per week from the office)
Why choose this offer?
- Flexible work organization
- International environment with daily English communication
- Regular integration meetings with the Jit community
- Work on cutting‑edge technologies supporting the global energy transition
- Collaboration with international teams and industry experts
Project
The project is part of the Grid Automation domain, focused on developing innovative solutions for future power systems. The team designs and builds high‑performance, secure and reliable software applications using modern C++ (C++17/20), with a strong emphasis on real‑time operation, system resilience and long‑term product support. Engineers develop mission‑critical software that supports energy infrastructure worldwide and ensure reliability, efficiency, cybersecurity and continuous real‑time operation.
Responsibilities You'll Have
- Develop system design for multithreading, synchronization, I/O and latency requirements in real‑time operation
- Implement high‑performance C++ cores for managed runtimes (.NET, RUST) with minimal latency overhead
- Optimize performance and scalability: profile threading, reduce lock contention, minimise memory allocations and maintain predictable latency at scale
- Maintain high code quality through reviews, unit testing and adherence to SOLID, KISS, DRY and industry best practices
- Participate in system design, best‑practice development and technical architecture reviews
- Collaborate with engineering, product and business stakeholders to transform requirements into clear architectural designs
- Support strategic technology decisions on dependencies, build tooling and secure software supply chain practices; maintain cross‑platform support and modernise build systems for Linux/Windows compatibility
- Apply practical Linux development and deployment strategies
- Contribute to business goals by designing, developing and delivering high‑quality software solutions
- Continuously enhance existing systems and create new features
- Work effectively within an agile environment, expanding technical expertise and actively participating in a cross‑disciplinary team
Expected competences and knowledge
- University degree in computer science, engineering or related technical field
- 8+ years of senior technical experience
- Advanced proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) with deep knowledge of RAII, smart pointers, STL, concurrency and memory management
- Practical knowledge of C# development
- Strong experience with multithreading, synchronization primitives, asynchronous I/O and real‑time system design
- Proficiency with building systems (CMake, Visual Studio) and cross‑platform development for Windows and Linux
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture patterns
- Demonstrated experience with performance profiling, optimisation and low‑latency systems
- Understanding of software architecture principles and secure, scalable system design
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges
- Good understanding of unit and integration testing techniques and testing frameworks
- Knowledge of non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, security)
- Practical experience developing systems for power grid management and monitoring
- Understanding of power grid operations and applicable standards
- Experience with industrial automation systems (SCADA, IED, RTU)
