Job summary

Visa Hunt is seeking an experienced Senior C++ Engineer to work on large-scale desktop software products in the Medical domain. The role focuses on performance optimization, stability improvements, modernization of legacy systems, and development of high-quality desktop applications.

Strong expertise in modern C++, Qt, and cross-functional collaboration is required. English proficiency is essential, and German language skills are a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience in C++ software development.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ standards including C++14/17/20.
• Deep understanding of multithreading, concurrency, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with desktop application development.
• Practical experience with Qt.
• Experience with Make, Conan, and MSVC.
• Experience with CEF integration.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate within cross-functional engineering teams.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English.
• German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality desktop application components using modern C++.
• Implement scalable multithreading and concurrency solutions.
• Analyze, identify, and resolve performance bottlenecks in complex desktop systems.
• Participate in modernization and refactoring of legacy codebases.
• Collaborate with architects, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver stable and efficient solutions.
• Contribute to software quality improvements, debugging activities, and system stability initiatives.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve development workflows and accelerate implementation activities.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices initiatives.
