Job summary

Plexteq is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a banking regulatory reporting transformation remotely. You will translate complex regulatory requirements into clear business, functional and data specifications and collaborate across Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Data and IT.

The role focuses on automation, data quality, process improvement and remediation initiatives with ECB and supervisory expectations. Fluent English and strong stakeholder management required.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of senior-level experience in banking or financial services.
• Hands-on Banking Regulatory Reporting experience is required.
• Strong understanding of banking products, data, and processes.
• Extensive experience in business analysis and requirements engineering.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear data and business requirements.
• Experience with data warehouses, reporting concepts, and validation logic.
• Proficient in SQL; familiar with Jira & Confluence.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English; cross-functional collaboration.

Senior Business Analyst (Banking Regulatory Reporting)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a banking transformation programme focused on regulatory reporting, financial data, process improvement and automation. You will work across Business, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Data and IT, translating complex regulatory requirements into clear business, functional and data requirements and supporting the delivery of compliant, scalable reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and implement new business and regulatory reporting requirements
• Translate regulatory requirements into business, functional and data requirements
• Analyse existing reporting processes, identify gaps and drive improvements
• Support automation of manual and file-based reporting processes
• Reduce manual adjustments and improve data quality and reporting efficiency
• Analyse financial datasets, reporting rules, validation logic and data flows
• Perform business process analysis and modelling
• Work closely with Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Data and IT teams
• Support ECB remediation initiatives and regulatory transformation activities
• Contribute to sustainable, controlled and scalable reporting solutions

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of relevant experience at Senior level
• Hands-on Banking Regulatory Reporting experience – MUST HAVE
• Strong understanding of banking products, financial data, systems and processes
• Extensive experience in Business Analysis & Requirements Engineering
• Strong business process modelling experience
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear business and data requirements
• Strong understanding of reporting rules, validation logic and supervisory expectations
• Strong SQL skills
• Understanding of Data Warehouse and reporting concepts
• Experience with Jira & Confluence
• Strong Agile experience
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
