Job summary

Plexteq is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a banking regulatory reporting transformation remotely. You will translate complex regulatory requirements into clear business, functional and data specifications and collaborate across Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Data and IT.

The role focuses on automation, data quality, process improvement and remediation initiatives with ECB and supervisory expectations. Fluent English and strong stakeholder management required.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of senior-level experience in banking or financial services.
• Hands-on Banking Regulatory Reporting experience is required.
• Strong understanding of banking products, data, and processes.
• Extensive experience in business analysis and requirements engineering.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear data and business requirements.
• Experience with data warehouses, reporting concepts, and validation logic.
• Proficient in SQL; familiar with Jira & Confluence.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and implement new regulatory reporting requirements.
• Translate regulatory rules into business, functional, and data requirements.
• Assess and improve current reporting processes and data quality.
• Support automation of manual and file-based reports.
• Collaborate with Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Data and IT teams.
• Contribute to remediation and regulatory transformation initiatives.
• Model business processes and data flows.
• Ensure scalable, compliant reporting solutions.
• Engage with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
• Support ECB remediation initiatives.
