Job summary

Jacobs in Kraków is seeking a Bridge Designer to lead design teams on challenging bridge projects. You will conduct structural analysis, feasibility studies, and prepare tender and contract documents for international clients, delivering high-quality reports in English.

Qualifications

• Master in relevant accredited engineering degree.
• Chartered Engineer of an appropriate professional body, plus.
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience in bridges design, analysis, assessment, inspections, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor bridge staff on structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, detailed designs and production of contract documents and reports.
• Use Bridge design software such as AutoCAD, MIDAS, SAM.
• Develop networks with global technology leaders for Bridges.
• Ensure quality control plans are followed and health and safety are incorporated into design.
• Develop project delivery plans.
• Deliver projects in English.

Currently, within our Global Design Center with offices in Kraków and Warsaw, we are expanding the Bridges Team and are looking for professionals for the position of Bridge Designer.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor bridge staff on tasks such as structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, detailed designs and the production of contract documents and technical reports
• Use Bridge design software such as AutoCAD, MIDAS, SAM
• Develop networks with global technology leaders for Bridges
• Ensure that quality control plans are followed, incorporation of health and safety into design
• Develop project specific delivery plans
• Deliver projects in English

Here's what you'll need

• Master in relevant accredited engineering degree,
• Chartered Engineer of an appropriate professional bodyas plus,
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience gained within a design office particularly in the field of Bridges design, analysis, assessment, inspectionand reports,
• Experience of leading multi-disciplinary projects as plus,
• Very good command of English,
• Good presentation skills.
