Grid Dynamics in Kraków is seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to establish a complete governance framework for a new national-scale data platform on Microsoft Azure. You will own the governance strategy from scratch, aligning regulatory needs with technical delivery.

You will define policies, stewardship models, data quality standards, access controls, and work with senior stakeholders across compliance and engineering to implement governance tooling and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Management.
• Experience with Purview, Collibra, and Alation.
• Translate regulatory mandates into engineering and architectural practices.
• Engage senior stakeholders in discovery, advisory, or presales contexts.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting governance roadmaps.

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to establish and operationalize the complete data governance framework for a brand-new, national-scale enterprise data platform built on Microsoft Azure.

In this role, you will own the data governance strategy from scratch, bridging the gap between senior client stakeholders, compliance requirements, and technical delivery teams. You will define governance policies, stewardship models, data quality standards, and access control mechanisms for a major greenfield initiative.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall data governance strategy for a large-scale data platform build.
• Translate regulatory, compliance, and policy requirements into actionable technical architecture and engineering guidelines.
• Design and operationalize governance functions, including data stewardship, data quality processes, lineage, cataloging, and role-based access control.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, presenting governance assessments, roadmaps, and frameworks.
• Support delivery teams in implementing governance tooling and practices across the platform.
• Stay ahead of evolving compliance and AI-governance landscapes, integrating best practices into project delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Management, with a proven track record of designing and operationalizing governance frameworks for large enterprises.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation).
• Demonstrated ability to translate compliance and regulatory mandates into engineering and architectural practices.
• Proven experience engaging senior stakeholders in discovery, advisory, or presales contexts.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex governance roadmaps to both business and technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Prior hands-on technical background (e.g., former Data Engineer, Data Architect, or Data Analyst).
• Experience with AI / ML Governance frameworks.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
