Job summary

PwC Polska’s Digital&IPA team is seeking a Senior BI Developer (freelance) to design and build analytics solutions for clients across industries. You will transform business problems into actionable insights and craft compelling visualizations that drive real-time and strategic decisions.

You will collaborate with product design, BI and data science experts, using Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL and ETL tools. English must be excellent for international engagements.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in BI, data visualization and analytics.
• Proficiency in Power BI with good knowledge of DAX and Power Query.
• Good understanding of databases and data modelling with practical experience in SQL, ETL tools (e.g. Alteryx) or Python.
• Proven track record conducting workshops with clients and gathering business requirements (business objectives, user needs and goals, supporting metrics, technical specifications, data sources).
• Solid knowledge of data visualization and information design best practices coupled with exceptional care for detail, clarity and aesthetics.
• Excellent command of English essential in working on international engagements.

PwC Poland’s Digital&IPA team comprises 500 people. We are responsible for IT projects for Polish and international clients. The number of tasks we undertake is extensive: from design, building and implementation, through preparation of functional specifications and analysis of data in source systems, to the definition of business requirements, support in testing and development of mobile applications. The department provides IT consulting services, mainly to financial institutions from Poland and abroad.

We are looking for:

Senior BI Developer (freelance)

Your future role:

You will join the team of our product design, business intelligence and data science experts who are responsible for the development of cutting-edge digital solutions for PwC clients. You will work closely with clients across multiple industries to understand business problems and translate them into opportunities to create insights that will support real-time, daily, tactical, and strategic decisions. You will design and develop the visual layer of our analytics and BI applications, bridging the gap between the language of business and the language of data science.

Apply if you:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, data visualization and analytics,
• Proficiency in Power BI with good knowledge of DAX and Power Query,
• Good understanding of databases and data modeling with practical experience in technologies such as SQL, ETL tools (e.g. Alteryx) or Python,
• Proven track record conducting workshops with clients and gathering business requirements (business objectives, user needs and goals, supporting metrics, technical specifications, data sources),

Nice to have:

• Experience working in a consulting space or in a similar client-facing, fast moving environment,
• Understating of teamwork principles in one of the project management methodologies,
• Experience in overseeing team members on projects,
• Background in UX or UI design and familiarity with design software (e.g. Figma),
• Practical skills in using Fabric, Power Platform (e.g. Power Apps)
• Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g. Tableau)
• Familiarity with Generative AI topics, Large Language Models (LLMs) and their practical applications in BI/analytics
