Job summary

FreeBalance is seeking a Software Development Team Lead to guide a high-performing back-end engineering group building enterprise-scale web applications using Java, Spring, and Hibernate.

You will own architecture, drive technical planning, mentor engineers, and coordinate across analysts, QA, and front-end teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions within the FreeBalance Accountability Suite for government customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of Java design and development for enterprise-scale web apps.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership, team lead, or mentorship role.
• Experience with architecture, planning, and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software developers to deliver enterprise-scale back-end solutions.
• Own architecture, design, and development of the FreeBalance Accountability Suite.
• Manage sprint planning, milestones, and collaboration with QA, Front-End, and Analysts.
• Drive coding standards, technical planning, and documentation for projects.
• Ensure security, performance, and reliability across applications.
