Job summary

Leading Global Consulting Company in Poland is seeking a Senior Backend / Fullstack Developer to join an international product team in Customer Data Management. You will design, develop and operate scalable services built with Java/Kotlin and Spring, and work with Apache Kafka to enable real-time data exchange across CRM and enterprise systems.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, cloud-native development on AWS, and a DevOps mindset, with occasional business trips to Germany.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional software development experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring.
• Strong practical experience with Apache Kafka in production environments.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs and system integrations.
• Solid experience with software architecture and system design.
• Good understanding of event-driven architectures, asynchronous communication and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with AWS and cloud-native application development.
• Knowledge of cloud engineering best practices, including Infrastructure as Code and cloud security.
• Strong DevOps mindset and experience taking responsibility for applications after deployment.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Backend / Fullstack Developer to join an international product team working within the Customer Data Management domain.

The team is responsible for designing, developing and operating scalable services that represent the relationship between customers and vehicles throughout the entire lifecycle. The platform integrates with multiple enterprise systems, including customer-facing applications, CRM platforms and other internal services.

A key element of the ecosystem is Apache Kafka, which is used as the central event-streaming platform to exchange large volumes of data in real time between different systems and applications. Therefore, strong hands-on experience with Kafka is essential for this role.

This is a hands-on engineering position combining backend development, cloud technologies, system integration and architecture. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of solutions in line with the "you build it, you run it" approach.

Your role is:
