Job summary

ClickHouse, in partnership with Langfuse, is seeking a Backend Engineer to optimize ingestion pipelines and data models at scale. You will work on ClickHouse-backed analytics, design schemas, and implement backend abstractions for data-heavy features.

The role offers remote-friendly setup and access to ClickHouse internals across production environments. You will contribute to a fast, affordable infrastructure with Docker Compose and Helm deployment supporting multiple environments.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineer with interest in database internals.
• Experience with analytical databases and data pipelines.
• Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript and SQL.
• Open source software experience and user-facing scaling.
• CS or quantitative degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize ingestion pipeline for massive tracing data.
• Design schemas and optimize queries in ClickHouse for dashboards.
• Build infrastructure-heavy features like large-scale data processing.
• Test changes with production data to validate performance improvements.
• Collaborate in a small, accountable team with visible impact.
