Job summary

Google Warsaw is seeking a backend software engineer to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for Dataform, contributing to Google Cloud’s data platform.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 2 years of software development experience in one or more languages, plus knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and backend systems. In-person interviews are common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend APIs, services, and core capabilities for Dataform to deliver new features and enhance platform functionality.
• Scope, design, and drive technical solutions to address infrastructure bottlenecks and continuously enhance the security and stability of the platform.
• Partner with front-end teams and other Google Cloud service owners on API and system designs.
• Build scalable code management and pipeline orchestration solutions powering Dataform and Google Cloud.
• Participate in monitoring, debugging, and production support, including on-call rotations.
