Job summary

Emerge Soft in Warsaw is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join the team building the heart of a scalable iGaming platform. You will work on microservices with Java or Kotlin, Kafka messaging, and a Spring/JPA stack to deliver high-load, reliable services.

You’ll own the full software lifecycle from design to deployment, participate in architectural discussions, and champion clean code and ownership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial experience in backend development (Java and/or Kotlin).
• Deep practical knowledge of microservice architecture.
• Experience working with messaging systems (Kafka).
• Strong knowledge of the Spring ecosystem and JPA.
• Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL).
• Proactive approach, focus on "Clean Code," and ownership of initiatives.
• Nice to have experience with OpenAPI, BigQuery and Kubernetes.
