Job summary

PixelChain is seeking an experienced backend engineer to help scale our fintech, iGaming, and marketing platforms. You will own the architecture and performance of core systems, partnering with product teams to ensure services stay fast, reliable, and ready for expansion into new markets.

As part of the engineering team, you will design and implement microservices, optimize data storage, and contribute to testing, deployment, and incident response in an Agile environment, with a focus on Java

Qualifications

• Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
• 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience with Java / Java Core.
• Practical experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Comfortable working across multiple database technologies — MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and other NoSQL stores.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Docker for cloud deployment and containerization.
• Skilled in performance tuning — indexing, partitioning, sharding, and concurrent-programming optimization.
• Hands-on testing experience with JUnit and Mockito.
• Comfortable working within Agile development environments.
