apoQlar is seeking a backend engineer to design, build and operate backend services in C#/.NET and Python, powering our HoloMedicine XR platform. You will develop APIs, data pipelines and integration services critical to real-time clinical workflows.
You will work with medical imaging formats (DICOM/DICOMweb/NIFTI), containerize with Docker/Kubernetes, and use CI/CD and Argo Workflows. Collaboration with XR engineering, clinical stakeholders and Quality/Regulatory is essential to maintain EU MDR
• Design, build and operate backend services in C#/.NET and Python, including APIs, data pipelines and integration services
• Work on medical imaging backends using DICOM/DICOMweb and NIFTI
• Support real-time data flows to XR clients, focusing on reliability, latency and session stability
• Containerize and ship services via Docker/Kubernetes, including workflow orchestration such as Argo Workflows and CI/CD
• Build observability and security through structured logging/metrics and SBOM/SOUP hygiene
• Maintain compatibility with EU MDR, IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 requirements, risk linkage and traceability
• Review code, mentor peers and help shape backend architecture and engineering standards
• Collaborate with XR engineering, clinical stakeholders and Quality/Regulatory
• Build software powering apoQlar’s HoloMedicine® Mixed and Augmented Reality medical platform

Demonstrates expertise in building and operating backend services using C#/.NET and Python, with a strong focus on API design, data pipelines, and compliance with medical software regulations. Proficient in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, while ensuring software quality and observability.
