Addepto is seeking a Senior Backend / Data Engineer to join a greenfield data platform project. You will design and build scalable data ingestion pipelines, backend components, and REST APIs using Python and Django.

You will work with cloud data platforms to ensure data quality, reliability, and production readiness, collaborating across teams on AI and big data initiatives. This role offers remote or office options with strong growth opportunities and learning support.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of commercial experience in Backend Engineering or Data Engineering.
• Experience with Python, Django, and building production data-intensive systems.
• Strong knowledge of data ingestion/ETL pipelines and REST API design.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and orchestration tools like Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data ingestion pipelines for file-based and API sources.
• Build and maintain backend components for data processing, validation, and integration.
• Design and develop REST APIs using Python and Django.
• Implement robust data quality and error-handling mechanisms.
• Work with cloud data platforms and warehouses for scalable solutions.
