Job summary

Luxoft Poland seeks an experienced Senior Backend Architect to own the architecture of an in-vehicle AI backend, with live deployments across fleets and ongoing feature expansion. You will design streaming, REST and gRPC interfaces, govern the LLM integration, and ensure backward compatibility while adding new capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in backend/distributed systems engineering.
• 3+ years as architect or technical lead with end-to-end ownership.
• Expert Python: FastAPI and streaming experience.
• Production systems using LLM orchestration with LangChain/LangGraph.
• Azure OpenAI or OpenAI API in production.
• Strong API design including REST/gRPC and secure auth.
• PostgreSQL with embeddings and vector search.
• Kubernetes and Azure cloud architecture.
• IaC with Terraform and CI/CD in Azure DevOps.
• Observability with OpenTelemetry and tracing.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve backend architecture: routing, orchestration, and hexagonal design.
• Define interface contracts between vehicle, LLM, tools and agents.
• Architect vehicle-facing REST and gRPC APIs and integrations.
• Design streaming architecture for real-time AI services.
• Own LLM integration and guardrails for deterministic vehicle answers.
• Design agent orchestration for multi-intent routing.
• Architect tool integrations: navigation, media, queries, calendar, POI.
• Define RAG/persistence with embeddings and pgvector.
• Ensure high availability, security and compliance targets.
• Maintain architecture docs and coordinate with Scrum teams.
