Overview

Senior Azure & Endpoint Infrastructure Engineer GSC- IT (m/w/d) at Diehl Group

Responsibilities

• Analysis, design and conception of modern physical and cloud infrastructures based on Microsoft MECM/Azure/Intune for endpoints.
• Monitoring, optimization and administration of virtual/physical deployment environments including their interdependencies.
• Automating and optimizing recurring processes with Azure Functions (Azure PowerShell Runbooks).
• Creating and implementing compliance policies and security standards (CIS/STIG).
• Processing and evaluating complex incidents and user requests, as well as coordinating supplier support.
• Coordinating work packages in workplace projects, developing and controlling processes and workflows.
• Coordinating external service providers and internal IT teams in projects and Proof of Concepts (PoC).
• Ensuring process-compliant control of change and release management.
• Implementing new requests, coordinating with customers, organizing acceptance tests, and transferring solutions to production.
• Creating concepts, manuals, and detailed hands-on documentation.

Qualifications

• A university degree in IT (or a related field) or completed training as an IT specialist with additional qualification as a technician and many years of relevant professional experience.
• In-depth knowledge of designing, conceptualizing, and administering deployment environments with Microsoft MECM/Intune/Azure, including OS deployment and task sequence management.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell, PSADT, Python, and PatchMyPC.
• Proven track record in project management of complex IT infrastructure projects.
• Solid knowledge of ITIL-based Incident, Change, Release, and Problem Management.
• Extensive senior-level systems engineering experience with Microsoft infrastructures, supported by certifications.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong team-player mentality combined with a high service orientation.
• Flexibility, strong motivation, and excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills and very good command of English (spoken and written).
