Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join a team developing and testing an advanced healthcare medical device that combines embedded hardware, software, and user-facing applications.

You will design, develop, and maintain automated tests using a RobotFramework-based framework, work with real hardware and simulators, and contribute to improving test coverage and efficiency in a regulated medical environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python/RobotFramework/Bash.
• Solid experience in test automation.
• Experience creating and maintaining automated test suites.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and test design techniques.
• Experience with system and/or integration testing.
• Experience testing systems that interact with hardware.
• Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with Git and defect tracking systems.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and system behavior.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using a custom RobotFramework framework.
• Translate system and software requirements into automated test scenarios.
• Perform system, integration, and functional testing of a medical device.
• Work with real hardware, devices under test, simulators, and supporting test equipment.
• Investigate test failures, analyze logs, and support root cause analysis.
• Maintain and improve the existing automation framework and test infrastructure.
• Review test results and report defects with clear technical analysis.
• Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and other QA engineers.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and technical discussions.
• Contribute to improving test coverage, reliability, and automation efficiency.
• Support CI/CD and automated test execution where applicable.
