Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Middle Automation Test Engineer to join a Medtech project, supporting testing of a connected medical device ecosystem combining a physical device, embedded software, and cloud services.

The role emphasizes test automation, system-level testing, and end-to-end verification across both device and cloud components. You will design and execute automated tests, contribute to a custom framework, and collaborate with engineers and customers in an international setting.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of commercial QA/test automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python and automated testing.
• Experience with custom automation frameworks.
• Understanding of software testing principles, test design, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Experience testing hardware-software integrated systems.
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot across multiple system components.
• Experience working with Linux-based environments.
• Good understanding of Git-based workflows.
• Excellent English communication, able to work with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and execute automated test scenarios using Python.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of a custom test automation framework.
• Develop automated tests for hardware/software integrated systems.
• Perform end-to-end testing covering interactions between the physical medical device and cloud services.
• Validate device connectivity, data transfer, configuration, and system behavior across multiple components.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing.
• Analyze system and software requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Investigate failures across hardware, embedded software, application, and cloud layers.
• Work closely with developers, system engineers, and other QA engineers to identify and resolve defects.
• Maintain test documentation and support verification activities in a regulated medical-device environment.
• Participate in improving testability, automation coverage, and overall product quality.
