About RemotePass

RemotePass is a leading global platform transforming the way businesses access and manage top talent. Recognized as one of G2's Top 100 Fastest Growing Software Products, we're on a mission to break down geographical barriers and create a world where exceptional talent can thrive anywhere.

By streamlining global hiring, onboarding, payroll, and compliance, RemotePass empowers organizations to build high‑performing remote teams. Our platform is designed to improve the lives of millions of workers worldwide by providing them with unprecedented opportunities to connect with global employers and reach their full potential.

We are backed by world‑class investors, including Endeavor Catalyst, Khwarizmi Ventures, Oraseya Capital, Flyer One Ventures, Access Bridge Ventures, A15, Swiss Founders Fund, and Plug & Play.

As the Senior Automation Systems Lead, you will design, build, and enforce AI‑powered internal systems that replace manual, ad‑hoc work with structured, automated workflows across the company. This is a hands‑on role: you will personally build automations, deploy production workflows, redesign internal processes, and drive adoption through clear documentation, training, and enforcement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the shift from ad‑hoc execution to structured, automated workflows powered by AI
  • Design and deploy a standardised request intake that captures context, enriches with AI, routes to the right owner/queue, and applies priority/SLA logic
  • Identify repetitive, high‑volume processes across teams and automate them end‑to‑end (including human‑in‑the‑loop where needed)
  • Build and maintain automations hands‑on using n8n/Make/Zapier, APIs, and lightweight scripting; involve engineering only when needed for scale/security
  • Implement AI in production workflows (classification, extraction, summarisation, validation, decision support) with appropriate guardrails
  • Write clear specs, user flows, and documentation; ship simple experiences that drive adoption
  • Standardise ownership, escalation paths, and service levels to reduce interruptions and false urgency
  • Enforce usage of new workflows and drive behaviour change across teams
  • Track adoption and impact (volume, cycle time, automation rate, SLA adherence) and iterate based on data
  • Maintain an automation roadmap, prioritise by ROI/risk, and deliver improvements weekly
Requirements
  • 7+ years in automation, internal systems, BizOps/Ops, or internal tooling with a proven record of shipping widely adopted automations
  • Based within 3 hours of the GST time zone
  • Expertise in at least one automation platform (n8n, Make, Zapier) plus strong API integration skills (REST/webhooks/auth)
  • Practical experience using LLMs in real workflows, including prompt design, evaluation, and human‑in‑the‑loop patterns
  • Strong systems thinking: able to design cross‑functional processes and avoid siloed solutions
  • Excellent written communication: crisp specs, SOPs, and decision logs
  • Highly autonomous, detail‑oriented, comfortable enforcing standards and driving adoption
  • Data‑oriented: defines metrics, builds reporting, runs continuous improvement loops
  • Nice‑to‑have: regulated/compliance‑heavy experience; familiarity with ticketing/CRM tools; distributed team exposure
Benefits
  • Work from anywhere
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Premium health insurance
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Dynamic and collaborative work environment
