Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. in Lodz, Poland, seeks an Assistant Controller - Manager to support controllership within the Global Finance Centre of Excellence.

You will oversee month-end close, balance sheet reviews and IFRS reporting while coordinating with regional teams and auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will partner with FP&A, tax, treasury and group consolidation, driving process improvements and strong internal controls across markets.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting/Finance/ Economics/ Business Admin.
• Minimum three years in controllership, accounting, GL or R2R activities.
• Experience supporting annual financial statements, statutory reporting and audits.
• Strong month-end close, balance sheet reviews and reconciliations in international environments.
• Solid IFRS understanding and experience with multinational organisations.
• Experience with shared-service centres and cross-border finance teams.
• Strong communication skills and confidence with leadership.
• Fluent business English.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities with accurate GL accounting across entities.
• Prepare balance sheet reviews and variance commentary for controller review.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and ownership documentation.
• Coordinate audit preparation and evidence collection for external/internal/SOX and tax audits.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Collaborate with FP&A, tax, treasury, transfer pricing and group consolidation teams.
• Act as liaison between markets and Global Finance CoE accounting teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and drive continuous improvement.
