Job summary

Nourish is seeking a Senior Developer to help modernise the Empower API, migrating from PHP Symfony to Go. You will work in a Dockerised AWS Kubernetes stack and contribute to building a Vue.js front end as part of a broad migration.

You’ll mentor teammates, participate in Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with product and design colleagues to deliver high-impact software for the care sector.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial full stack development experience (5+ years).
• Commercial experience with Go and Vue/React; familiarity with PHP/Symfony for legacy transition.
• Experience with at least three AWS services, Git, Linux, and SQL databases.
• Experience in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban; unit testing.
• Experience in at least one other language.
• AI-assisted development experience will be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, build, and improve the Empower API.
• Lead or contribute to migrating Symfony functionality to Go.
• Build the new Vue.js front end as part of the migration.
• Work in an Agile team to deliver improvements and participate in ceremonies.
• Analyze logs/metrics to improve systems and guide partners in API usage.
• Mentor team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
