Job summary

Airswift seeks a Senior Go Engineer to build and enhance backend services, APIs and internal systems for healthcare-focused products at scale. Role involves cloud-native design with Go, AWS, Kubernetes, and serverless tech.

Remote with EST overlap, Polish/Czech work locations, long-term engagement and freelance setup. Responsibilities include API/backend development, performance tuning, and mentoring teammates to elevate code quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Extensive commercial Go development experience.
• Strong AWS cloud and microservices architecture experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies (Lambda).
• Strong knowledge of Kafka and TypeScript.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Monitoring and observability experience using tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry, or similar.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working within Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-performance Go-based services and microservices.
• Build scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies.
• Develop and support APIs and backend systems powering onboarding and internal platforms.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver new product functionality.
• Drive improvements in code quality through testing, automation, monitoring, and continuous refactoring.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and standards.
• Analyse system performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Senior Go Engineer Duration: Long-term Contract Workload: Full time hours Setup: Freelance (Daily Rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader) Sponsorship Not Provided Location: Poland (B2B) or Czech Republic (Employment Preferred), Fully Remote with overlap to EST working hours Our client is looking for a Senior Go Engineer to build and enhance the backend services, APIs, and internal systems that support critical healthcare-focused products used at scale. Some overlap with EST working hours preferred as client based in Latin America.
