Job summary

Xebia is seeking a seasoned Android developer to design, build, and maintain mobile applications using Java and Kotlin. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, user-focused features, contributing to architecture decisions, and integrating with backend services to ensure robust app performance.

You should have 6+ years of Android development experience, strong Android SDK and Kotlin skills, knowledge of Java, and familiarity with RESTful APIs and gRPC.

Your profile:

• 6+ years of professional experience in Android development,
• strong knowledge of the Android SDK,
• strong knowledge of Kotlin,
• good knowledge of Java,
• experience working with RESTful APIs and gRPC,
• excellent debugging and problem-solving skills,
• practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
• work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• experience with automation testing,
• experience with in-house device farm,
• familiarity with automation tools like GitHub Actions and Fastlane,
• experience with mentoring and onboarding junior team members,
• experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
• interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
