Job summary

Airbus Helicopters Polska Sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking a Lead FDT Engineer to anchor structural analysis of primary airframe structures, guide stress and FDT activities, and drive technical decisions across large aircraft programs.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop validation strategies with design teams and authorities, and push innovation through advanced simulations (HyperWorks, Nastran/Patran, Abaqus) and Python workflows. Fluent English required; hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance and related processes, methods & tools.
• Proven leadership experience mentoring engineers and managing technical work packages.
• Strong proficiency with FEA tools and custom methodology development.

Responsibilities

• Lead FDT analysis work packages for primary airframe structures and approve stress dossiers.
• Define structural validation strategies with chief engineers, airworthiness authorities, and design teams.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to ensure high-quality, consistent work.
• Drive innovation by integrating advanced simulation techniques and Python workflows.
