Job summary

Moderna seeks a Senior AI Security Engineer to define and implement the enterprise security approach for AI adoption. You will develop guardrails, assessment methods, and architectural patterns to enable safe AI deployment at scale across the organization.

You will assess risks in AI applications, agentic workflows, and model-integrated services, while performing baseline security reviews across traditional domains.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity with emphasis on network and application security.
• Experience in hybrid on-prem and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability to define security strategy and scalable architectural patterns.
• Expertise in AI security, including model-integrated services and data handling.
• Translate AI risk into enterprise security governance and design.
• Broad baseline security review across code, cloud, networks, APIs, identity.
• Strong leadership and communication to briefing senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and help operationalize the enterprise AI security strategy with target-state architecture and scalable guardrails.
• Develop practical security standards and architectural guidance for AI systems and agentic workflows.
• Lead risk assessments and security reviews of AI apps, AI-enabled products, and agentic solutions; identify risks related to data exposure and insecure integrations.
• Execute baseline security reviews across code, cloud, networking, APIs, and identity to support enterprise security needs.
• Identify systemic control gaps and influence roadmaps for improved security in AI and non-AI environments.
• Provide technical leadership and executive-ready guidance on AI risk and security priorities.
