Job summary

Cast AI, a remote-first platform, is seeking a seasoned platform engineer to design and build the AI assistant stack, including agent flows, context retrieval, and live Kubernetes data connections. You’ll own end-to-end features, from design to production, across AWS, GCP, and Azure, with a focus on safety, scalability, and reliability.

You will work with Go, Terraform, and modern CI/CD workflows to ship quickly while maintaining robust observability and security.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with clean abstractions and maintainable code.
• Go experience strongly preferred; other languages acceptable if systems programming is strong.
• Experience with large-scale SaaS platforms and multi-tenant systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the systems behind our AI assistant: agent flows, context retrieval, and data connections.
• Develop and maintain the public, permission-aware MCP server with curated tools and strict safety gates.
• Write production Go services interacting with cloud APIs, Kubernetes, and LLMs in real time.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production rollout (typical projects ship in 1–4 weeks).
• Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to product direction and backlog.
