Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to define, build, test, and fine-tune AI agents for enterprise data use cases. You will work primarily in Snowflake, with additional experience in AWS Bedrock considered an advantage.

You will develop agent instructions, workflows, and guardrails, integrate with semantic models and governance, and continuously evaluate performance and value for business users. Strong SQL, Python, and Git skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, AI engineering, or related fields.
• Experience with GenAI-assisted analytics and building analytical solutions that allow users to ask natural-language questions about enterprise data.
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience including Cortex, Cortex Agents, and Cortex Analyst.
• Understanding of Snowflake data, security, and access-control concepts.
• Ability to understand semantic models, business metrics, and relationships between data entities.
• Experience evaluating GenAI outputs and identifying quality gaps.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings, and vector search, and grounding techniques.
• Experience with Python, APIs, and Git.
• Snowflake or AWS certification

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, AI engineering, or related fields
• Practical experience with agent configuration and GenAI-assisted analytics, building analytical solutions that allow users to ask natural-language questions about enterprise data
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, including Snowflake Cortex, Cortex Agents, and Cortex Analyst
• Understanding of Snowflake data, security, and access‑control concepts
• Ability to understand semantic models, business metrics, and relationships between data entities
• Experience evaluating GenAI outputs and systematically identifying quality gaps
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail
• Understanding of agent observability, evaluation metrics, automated testing, and cost monitoring
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences
• Proficiency in English at a B2+ level
• Nice to have Knowledge of AWS Bedrock
• Familiarity with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, embeddings, and vector search, and grounding techniques
• Experience with Python, APIs, and Git
• Snowflake or AWS certification
