Job summary

EPAM Systems in Kraków is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to define, build, test, and fine-tune AI agents enabling business users to query enterprise data with natural language. The role focuses on Snowflake, Cortex, and GenAI-powered analytics.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into reliable agent capabilities, ensure security, and establish testing, monitoring, and lifecycle practices. Strong SQL and Python skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data analytics, AI engineering, or related fields.
• Practical experience with GenAI-assisted analytics and building analytical solutions that answer natural-language questions about enterprise data.
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
• Hands‑on Snowflake experience including Cortex components.
• Understanding of semantic models, business metrics and data relationships.
• Experience evaluating GenAI outputs and identifying quality gaps.

Responsibilities

• Define, configure, test, and improve AI agents for analytical use cases.
• Develop agent instructions, workflows, guardrails, and evaluation criteria.
• Build agents primarily within Snowflake; AWS Bedrock experience is a plus.
• Integrate agents with semantic models, governed data products, and business metrics.
• Evaluate response accuracy, relevance, and security; ensure business value.
• Collaborate with teams to translate requirements into agent capabilities.
• Establish documentation, testing standards, monitoring practices, and lifecycle management.
• Apply SQL, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting in daily work.
