Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior AI Engineer to define, build, test, and fine-tune AI agents enabling business users to query enterprise data in natural language. The solution centers on Snowflake, with AWS Bedrock experience a plus.

You will design agent instructions, workflows, and guardrails; integrate with semantic models and governance data products; and evaluate quality against business metrics. Strong SQL and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, AI engineering, or related fields.
• Practical experience with agent configuration and GenAI-assisted analytics, building analytical solutions that allow users to ask natural-language questions about enterprise data
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Snowflake Cortex, Cortex Agents, and Cortex Analyst
• Understanding of Snowflake data, security, and access-control concepts
• Ability to understand semantic models, business metrics, and relationships between data entities
• Experience evaluating GenAI outputs and systematically identifying quality gaps
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Understanding of agent observability, evaluation metrics, automated testing, and cost monitoring
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences
• Proficiency in English at a B2+ level
• Nice to have Knowledge of AWS Bedrock
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings, and vector search, and grounding techniques
• Experience with Python, APIs, and Git
• Snowflake or AWS certification
