Job summary

Bayer AG in Warsaw is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to architect, develop, and deploy AI solutions addressing business challenges. You will leverage large language models, ML, NLP, CV, and other AI technologies to deliver production-ready systems and collaborate across functions.

You will mentor teammates, stay abreast of AI trends, and drive innovation while working in a hybrid setup in Poland, with responsibilities spanning data pipelines, model development, and scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven delivery of AI/ML systems in industry.
• Experience with agentic frameworks like LangChain or crew.ai.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS).
• Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Exposure to NLP, computer vision, and broader AI techniques.
• Experience with AWS ML services (SageMaker).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of AI/ML and agentic systems solving complex business problems.
• Build and deploy scalable AI products aligned with business goals.
• Drive adoption of cloud technologies for ML/AI industrialization.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of AI systems in production.
• Design and oversee scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Lead data ingestion, preprocessing, and transformation across hybrid environments.
• Implement data quality, validation, and drift detection processes.
• Guide model development, evaluation, and optimization.
• Drive experimentation and continuous improvement to enhance model performance.
• Integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
• Oversee production deployments ensuring best practices and operational excellence.
• Maintain clear documentation of AI systems and processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Mentor team members and support skill development.
• Stay up to date with AI trends and drive innovation.
• Conduct research to inform future AI initiatives.
