Job summary

Wlgroup in Poznań, Poland, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its production hub for European entities. The role is on-site under an employment contract, with responsibilities across full-cycle accounting and internal controls.

You will manage VAT, ZUS, payroll, intercompany reconciliation, and monthly closes, while ensuring audit-ready documentation and compliance with Polish law. English reporting to US-based management is expected.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of hands-on Polish accounting experience, including full-cycle books.
• Strong command of Polish VAT, ZUS/payroll, and CIT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete books under Polish law for a sp. z o.o. including GL, sub-ledgers, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Own project-level cost accounting to trace margin for exhibitions.
• Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with external accountant/auditor and tax authorities.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for all postings with source-traceability.
• Run payroll end-to-end for employees and civil-law contracts, including per diems for foreign trips.
• Handle ZUS filings, PIT advances, PIT-11s and PPK administration; reconcile remittances to payroll.
• Review B2B vs employee classifications and flag misclassification risk.
• Maintain payroll audit trail: contract, rate, approval, payment for every person.
