Job summary

ElevenLabs in Poland seeks an experienced accounting leader to own the Polish entity books under the Accounting Act, manage regulatory reporting, VAT, and tax returns, and coordinate with an external partner on a NetSuite rollout for Polish regulatory needs.

Based in Poland with a remote-first setup and an optional Warsaw office. Requires 7–10 years of ownership of Polish books, startup/scale-up background, and English at least B2. NS familiarity is a plus.

• English language proficiency (B2).
• Experience owning Polish books under the Accounting Act (7–10 years preferred).
• Recent startup or scale-up experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records per Polish Accounting Act and US GAAP for local statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with external partner to implement NetSuite module for Polish regulatory requirements.
• Prepare VAT registers and tax returns (JPK_V7, CIT, and other reports).
• Close monthly and annual books and prepare financial statements.
• Coordinate with tax offices, ZUS, GUS, and support audits.

Our responsibilities

• Maintaining accounting records in accordance with the Polish Accounting Act and the company’s accounting policies (local statutory accounting alongside primary reporting under US GAAP).
• Working with an external partner to implement and launch a new NetSuite module tailored to Polish regulatory requirements.
• Reporting issues and errors during and after implementation.
• Recording and reviewing financial documents (invoices, bank statements and journal entry supporting documents) for accuracy, completeness and compliance with formal requirements.
• Reconciling account balances, maintaining the fixed asset register, and preparing balance sheets and financial statements.
• Preparing and reviewing VAT registers and tax returns (JPK_V7, CIT and other mandatory reports).
• Participating in monthly and annual closes and preparing the company’s financial statements.
• Liaising with external authorities and preparing documentation, including contact with tax offices, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) and Statistics Poland (GUS), as well as supporting audits.
• Monitoring changes in tax and accounting regulations and implementing the necessary updates to processes and the system.
• Contributing to improvements in accounting processes.

Requirements

• Owned the full books of a Polish entity under the Accounting Act (preferably 7-10 years)
• Recent startup or scale-up experience
• Based in Poland
• English - at least B2
• Bonus: NS familiarity
• Location This role is remote-first, so it can be executed from anywhere in Poland. If you prefer, you can work from our office in Warsaw.
