Job summary

ThoughtLabs Belgium is seeking an experienced Agile Coach / Scrum Master to organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, foster self‑organising teams, and drive continuous improvement across projects in Poland.

You will collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine backlogs, promote Agile practices, and remove impediments, helping teams deliver value efficiently and with high quality.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Scrum rules, principles, techniques, and practices.
• Hands-on experience in Scrum management with relevant profile experience.
• Expertise in estimating and planning iterative and incremental software development.
• Knowledge of Kanban and XP methodologies.
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies with practical project examples.
• Experience as a team lead guiding teams toward effective delivery.
• Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to align team activities with business goals.
• Experience implementing team or organisational improvements.
• Ability to support self-organisation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Scrum Facilitation: Organise and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Agile Coaching: Coach team members and stakeholders on Scrum principles, practices, and effective Agile ways of working.
• Team Leadership: Encourage team ownership, self-organisation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Sprint Planning & Estimation: Support iterative and incremental software development through effective estimation, planning, and delivery management.
• Backlog Management: Assist the Product Owner with backlog refinement, prioritisation, user story writing, and splitting stories into manageable tasks.
• Impediment Management: Identify and remove obstacles that affect team productivity and delivery.
• Conflict Resolution: Mediate conflicts within the team and help balance technical quality with business delivery priorities.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate communication between the Scrum team, Product Owner, business stakeholders, and other teams.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to team organisation, engineering processes, and delivery practices.
• Agile Metrics: Help teams use Scrum boards, logs, charts, and metrics to monitor progress and improve productivity.
• Release Planning: Support product vision development, release planning, and effective prioritisation of backlog items.
• Agile Adoption: Promote Scrum adoption across teams and stakeholders and support organisational changes that improve Agile delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor teamwork practices and implement improvements based on retrospective outcomes and team feedback.
