Job summary

Ryvu Therapeutics in Kraków seeks an experienced Scientist II Bioconjugation & Protein Specialist to support the development of next‑generation Antibody-Drug Conjugates. You will lead recombinant protein expression, handle antibodies, and perform QC/characterization using LC-SEC, HIC, DLS, and nanoDSF.

Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and external CROs, you will plan and troubleshoot complex experiments, analyze data, and present results at meetings.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc with relevant experience in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in recombinant protein expression across systems and antibody production.
• Aseptic handling experience and knowledge of in vitro protein modification chemistry.
• Extensive QC/characterization skills (LC-SEC, HIC, DLS, nanoDSF).
• English proficiency at C1+ level; strong communication and teamwork.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Scientist II Bioconjugation & Protein Specialist with expertise in recombinant proteins, antibody technologies, and protein characterization to support the development of next-generation Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) in a collaborative, innovation-driven research environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Production of recombinant proteins using various expression systems.
• Production, handling, and processing of antibodies.
• Performing comprehensive Quality Control (QC) and characterization of proteins, antibodies, and bioconjugates using analytical techniques such as LC-SEC, HIC chromatography, DLS, nanoDSF, and related methods.
• Executing bioconjugation processes (linking antibodies with payload-linkers) to generate Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs).
• Independently planning, executing, and troubleshooting complex experiments related to project goals.
• Analyzing experimental data, drawing conclusions, and presenting outcomes at internal seminars and external meetings.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with other scientific teams and liaising with external CROs.
• Actively managing assigned sub-projects or workflows within the laboratory.
• Maintaining accurate laboratory records, ensuring compliance with SOPs, QA policies, and Health & Safety regulations.
• Performing regular scientific literature searches and suggesting new conceptual ideas or technological innovations.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• PhD with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or MSc with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in recombinant protein expression across various systems and strong expertise in antibody production and handling.
• Demonstrated ability to work in aseptic conditions
• Understanding the theoretical and practical aspects of in vitro protein modification chemistry
• Extensive knowledge and practical skills in protein Quality Control (QC) and characterization (e.g., LC-SEC, HIC, DLS, nanoDSF).
• English proficiency at the C1+ level (fluent in both written and oral communication).
• Excellent team member with a flexible mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous practical experience in the generation (bioconjugation) and analytical characterization of Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) is a strong plus.
