eConsulting seeks an experienced SAP PP/DS expert to lead production planning implementation across several German plants on S/4HANA. The role blends leadership with hands-on configuration and spans up to 6 months.

The engagement is remote with on-site travel to Germany during critical phases. A B2B, fixed-term arrangement of full-time workload is offered, expecting coordination with an external partner and go-live support.

Workplace: remote + on-site travel to Germany during key project phases

Workload: Full-time

Type of Contract: B2B

We are looking for an experienced SAP PP/DS expert to lead the implementation of production planning across several plants a well-established German pet food manufacturer. This is the first milestone of a broader supply chain transformation program, so the project offers a real prospect of continued collaboration. We are looking for someone who combines a leadership role with hands‑on system configuration, rather than only coordinating the work of others. This is a fixed-term engagement of up to 6 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the SAP PP/DS implementation on S/4HANA across several plants in Germany: from fit-to-standard workshops with planners to key decisions on the resource model and planning strategy.
• Hands‑on PP/DS configuration: heuristics, setup matrix, resource model, PDS, planning board.
• Providing functional oversight of the implementation partner, including assessing and enforcing the quality of the delivered solution.
• Preparing and executing cutover, being present on-site during critical phases (especially go-live), and supporting the hypercare period.
• Managing the "template at the first plant, then rollout" approach to keep the configuration consistent across all locations.

Required Skills And Experience

• Strong, hands‑on experience in configuring and implementing SAP PP/DS.
• Experience as a project lead or workstream lead on an SAP implementation in production or supply chain.
• German language skills sufficient to run workshops and work with the client’s team.
• Willingness to spend increased time on‑site in Germany during critical project phases, including go-live (permanent on‑site presence is not required).

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded PP/DS on S/4HANA (not only APO PP/DS).
• Experience in process manufacturing (PP-PI), ideally in food, feed, chemicals or pharma.
• Involvement in rolling out a single PP/DS template across multiple plants (template + rollout).
• Knowledge of the broader SAP SCM landscape, e.g. IBP, aATP, S&OP.
