Citigroup Inc. in Poland is seeking a Sanctions Junior Analyst to join the Sanctions EMEA Team. You will perform transaction verifications against sanctions requirements and coordinate with bank units to ensure compliance and timely execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in sanctions or related area (AML, KYC, Compliance) preferred.
• Good command of English (B2+) in written and spoken form.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work under time pressure and in a changing environment.
• Knowledge of Cyrillic will be an additional asset.
• Readiness to work in shifts (early – 5:00 AM, mid – 8:00/9:00 AM, late – 11:00 AM), including holidays and weekends on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform verification of transactions and documentation against sanctions requirements within defined timelines.

Sanctions EMEA Team is responsible for sanctions screening of cash transactions for EMEA countries. Sanctions Junior Analyst is an entry-level role responsible for processing relatively complex to complex tasks as part of the sanctions control performed in the Department. The overall objective is to ensure the highest quality of customer service through timely and accurate execution of controls, in accordance with policies and other documents defining standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform verification of transactions and documentation against sanctions requirements within defined timelines
• Collaborate with other bank units
• Ensure compliance with the procedures and rules prevailing at Citi
• Active order management from receipt to completion (status tracking, handling queries, sending reminders)
• Identify and elevate issues encountered during daily activities
• Provide support to other teams as directed by the manager
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

• Experience in sanctions or a related area (AML, KYC, Compliance) will be an asset
