Job description

We are seeking a Salesforce Commerce Cloud Solution Architect, Director to drive the digital evolution and e-commerce initiatives for a prestigious Luxury & Fashion group. This role is the critical bridge between technical excellence and business vision. The ideal candidate possesses deep, vertical expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware), paired with high emotional intelligence and a strong consulting mindset. This is not a general Enterprise Architecture role, but rather a highly specialized, authoritative position focused entirely on SFCC solutions. The Architect must be capable of sitting at the executive table with Chief Digital Officers (CDOs) and Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) from the group's various luxury brands, actively listening to their needs, building trust, and seamlessly translating business requirements into scalable, elegant, and high-performing technical architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops and presentations with CDOs, CTOs, and E-commerce Directors of individual Maisons, adapting highly technical language for business-focused stakeholders
• Demonstrate exceptional active listening skills to truly understand the nuances, sensitivities, and unique "heritage" of each Maison, ensuring technology solutions align with their distinct brand identities
• Act as a reliable consulting partner, guiding clients through Salesforce Commerce Cloud best practices and proactively proposing solutions rather than merely taking requirements
• Manage expectations, mitigate risks, and align the overarching technological priorities of the parent group with the specific desires of the individual digital boutiques
• Architect exclusive, end-to-end solutions within the Salesforce B2C Commerce ecosystem, ensuring maximum scalability, security, and performance to handle global traffic and retail peak seasons
• Define development guidelines for Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA), SiteGenesis (for legacy systems), and modern Headless/Composable commerce scenarios supported by Salesforce Design seamless integration flows between SFCC and standard third-party systems in the luxury retail landscape (OMS, ERP, PIM, CRM, Payment Gateways)
• Oversee development teams and System Integrators, ensuring implementations strictly adhere to approved design patterns, code quality standards, and platform constraints (governor limits)

Requirements

• 7+ years in the IT industry, with a minimum of 5+ years specifically as a Solution Architect on Salesforce Commerce Cloud projects
• Strong knowledge of SFRA, ISML, and Demandware Script
• Expertise in Business Manager and Salesforce APIs (OCAPI, SCAPI)
• Proven track record of delivering e-commerce projects within the Fashion, Retail, or Luxury sectors
• Capability to "read the room," adapt communication styles, and handle high-pressure situations or conflicting visions with diplomacy, tact, and empathy
• A natural talent for simplifying complex technical concepts, making them clear, digestible, and actionable for non-technical decision-makers
• Ability to inspire technical teams and work in harmony with System Integrators, creative agencies, and internal corporate stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in English (C1+ level)
• Nice to have Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect certification
