Job summary

Larian Studios in Warsaw invites a Gameplay Scripter to join an award-winning studio known for Baldur’s Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2. You’ll implement narrative-driven gameplay using our proprietary tools and internal scripting languages, collaborating with Cinematics and Writing to deepen player engagement.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Professional technical design, gameplay scripting or programming experience.
• Creative game design mindset with player-centric thinking.
• Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to prioritise tasks independently.
• Collaborative and positively influential in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Take internal narrative pitches and create engaging gameplay sequences with varied outcomes.
• Collaborate with Worldbuilding and other teams to craft content.
• Own gameplay features and scripting mechanics, organizing teams around features.
• Prepare content designs and implement using our game editor and scripting languages.
• Align with Scripting Leadership on priorities and deadlines.
• Improve development processes and iteration efficiency.
• Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Flag quality issues and risks to leadership and worldbuilding.
