Job summary

HiQo Solutions, Inc. seeks a skilled RF/antenna engineer to work on client projects across RF design, testing, and integration. You will review designs, develop antennas and transmission lines, and perform tuning and measurements to deliver robust RF solutions.

The role covers PCB integration, EM simulation, and collaboration with hardware teams to meet client requirements, including pre-compliance work and reporting. Flexible work options available with emphasis on practical problem solving.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of RF and antenna fundamentals.
• Good understanding of electromagnetic waves and propagation.
• Good knowledge of analog and high-speed digital electronics.
• Solid experience with transmission lines, impedance matching, and Smith chart usage.
• Hands-on experience with full-3D EM simulation tools (HFSS, CST, openEMS, EMerge or similar).
• Practical and wide experience with a VNA and a spectrum analyzer.
• Good communication skills and English (B2+ level).

Responsibilities

• Review, troubleshoot, and improve RF-related projects.
• Design transmission lines, matching networks, and filters.
• Build prototypes and test fixtures; prepare samples for measurement.
• Measure on a VNA and spectrum analyzer: S-parameters, impedance, power, harmonics, spurious emissions, and bandwidth.
• Tune antennas with discrete matching networks on PCBs and in enclosures.
• Model antennas and RF structures in EM solvers; run parametric sweeps and optimization.
• Probe boards with near-field probes to locate EMC issues and propose fixes.
• Assist with conducted and radiated pre-compliance sweeps and assess certification risk.
• Write measurement reports, review findings and recommendations.
• Contribute to internal measurement methods, fixtures, and templates.
