Publicis Production EMEA Hub is seeking a highly skilled Retoucher (CG Focus) to produce production-ready CG-based imagery for US and global clients. The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years in a similar role, a strong CGI/retouching portfolio, and fluency in English.

Overview

The Retoucher (CG Focus) is responsible for producing high-quality retouching and compositing work with a strong emphasis on computer-generated imagery (CGI). This role supports US-based clients and internal creative teams by creating precise, production-ready visual assets across a range of categories, including automotive, lifestyle, product, and environmental imagery.

This position is ideal for a highly skilled retoucher with strong technical fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with CGI assets. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality creative output while continuing to develop their expertise through collaboration, feedback, and mentorship from senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality retouching and compositing for CG-based imagery, including the integration of 3D renders with photographic and environmental elements.
• Perform detailed cleanup, enhancement, and refinement of CG assets while maintaining realism, lighting consistency, and material accuracy.
• Apply artistic and technical expertise across areas such as modeling, texturing, lighting, shading, look development, and compositing.
• Support retouching across multiple image categories, including automotive, lifestyle, product, and environmental work, as required.
• Adapt retouching techniques and visual style to meet varying brand standards and project requirements.
• Prepare and deliver final assets for print, out-of-home (OOH), packaging, digital, web, social media, and e-commerce platforms.
• Apply advanced Photoshop techniques, including masking, selections, adjustment layers, channels, custom curves, and organized layer structures.
• Perform accurate color correction and color matching across RGB and CMYK workflows.
• Maintain clean, organized, and non-destructive working files in line with studio production standards.
• Participate in quality control reviews to ensure all deliverables meet creative, technical, and client expectations.
• Incorporate feedback efficiently and consistently apply learnings to future work.
• Collaborate closely with retouchers, designers, producers, and creative leads to support project objectives.
• Continue developing CGI retouching capabilities through hands-on production work, training, and mentorship.
• Stay informed of emerging retouching technologies, CGI workflows, industry trends, and AI-assisted production tools.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional retouching experience within an agency, studio, or production environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with CGI or 3D-generated assets in a retouching or compositing role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing advanced retouching, compositing, and CGI-focused work.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Visual Communication, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong attention to detail and visual judgment.
• Solid problem-solving skills and openness to constructive feedback.
• Clear and professional communication skills when working with global teams.
• Adaptability across different visual styles, brands, and project types.
• Ability to work effectively in deadline-driven production environments.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage assigned tasks independently while escalating issues appropriately.
• Collaborative mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to follow established workflows, brand guidelines, and production standards.
• Calm, reliable, and solution-oriented approach under pressure.
• Adobe Photoshop (advanced level).
• Adobe Bridge or similar asset management tools.
• Advanced masking, compositing, and color correction skills.
• Strong understanding of RGB and CMYK workflows, color profiles, and file preparation standards.
• Working knowledge of 3D software or rendering workflows, such as Blender, Cinema 4D, V-Ray, Unreal Engine, or similar.
• Experience integrating CGI assets with photographic backgrounds.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted retouching tools used in production environments.
